She’s lost control

I don’t think of myself as a photographer. My mental image of a photographer is a tightly wound old dude. Like Ansel Adams approaching the craft like an engineer: testing films, chemicals, lenses, and shutters. It just doesn’t seem like a place for me.

What can I gain by giving up control? What do I stand to lose? Where is the line?
